Union Public House

We were here on a Saturday night.  This place was packed, loud and a LOT going on.  For some, that is great!  For some, it might be too much, too loud. However, the food was pretty good.  The service was slow....probably because it was so busy. We sat on the patio outside looking over the square.  There were several other restaurants whose patios also spread outside.  There was a band with a singer - Gigi and the (can&apos;t remember the rest of the name).  She danced and sang cover songs - Madonna, Queen, Paula Abdul, etc. There was a fun mixed crowd of folks to watch.

Let me start with why you would come here, food and drinks! The kitchen staff takes pride in what they create and the ingredients used to make it! The food was absolutely delicious and well presented in the comfortable atmosphere at Union Public House. The server Penelope always had a smile on her face and we wanted for nothing. She had amazing suggestions, pleasant conversation, always checked on how we were doing, but wasn&apos;t overwhelming. The manager Gary went above and beyond for myself and the entire table. The table shared some appetizers which were delicious! The table sharing continued as we got our meals as everyone insisted theirs was the best! Absolutely amazing experience and look forward to going through Tucson again!

Wonderful experience during our short stay in Tucson

It has been several years since I&apos;ve come to the Union Public House. The restaurant smelled. The windows were dirty, the menus frayed. The whole restaurant felt dirty. When my guest arrived, she mentioned that the resturant smelled badly. We went outside on the patio. The server was friendly but extremely slow. The food was terrible. My salad wad soaked in dressing to the point it was ruined. I did not return it. My friend&apos;s salad with chicken was worse. The chicken was not edible. The server took it off the bill. I will not return. My friend had previously booked a lunch there the following week and has since changed venues.  It&apos;s pretty sleazy. Too bad since the location is excellent.

Grabbed a quick dinner here with a few people before an event, and really enjoyed it. As a vegetarian I was happy with my spinach & beet salad, topped with a generous serving of delicious blackened tofu—so good! The whiskey apple pie was ok, but too sweet for my taste.  Good atmosphere, friendly server, and a lovely lit up courtyard of tables outdoors, too. Nice spot for a meal in St. Philip’s Plaza.

Good food, good atmosphere in Tucson

This is our sixth or seventh time already to come back here, and does not disappoint me at all. I always order the crispy fried cauliflower with honey mustard and their spinach and beet salad. Both were good. We always take our out of town friends and relatives here and they too always enjoy it. Nice crowd, friendly vibe.Our server Nandy was extremely friendly and helpful.
